The strings in a Milton
Piano are extra long which means a greater depth of tone and purity
of sound. We use German Roslau 30% tin-coated strings yielding a
rich bass, sweet tenor and brilliant treble. The bass strings have
hand turned windings which guarantees a natural sound. All Milton
Pianos feature agraffes, a feature usually only seen in grand pianos
and high class uprights, which again adds to the clarity of sound.
KEYS
The Keys on our pianos
are manufactured from cross lminated hard wood, compressed under
extremely high pressure. The structural integrity gleaned from cross
laminated keys leads to the prevention of warping which may occur
on other pianos. Each key is then individually cut to fit and balanced
by the adition of lead weights to ensure a consistency right across
the keyboard. the keys in a Milton pianos deliverss smooth energy
transfer from your fingertips, through the keys and hammer and on
to the string.
SRUCE
All Milton Pianos use 100
% solid spruce sound boards. Spruce has highest strength to density
ratio of any commercially available species. This characteristic
captured in soundboards yields superb tonal quality and sustain
sought after by musicians the world over.
IRON FRAME
Milton Pianos use hand cast precision iron frames for support
and shape. The iron frame is precision engineered and fitted to
all pianos which allows the Pianos to support the 20 tonnes of
tension created by the strings. the hand
ALUMINIUM
RAIL
All Milton Pianos use an
Extruded Aluminium Rail (The piano keys Balance on the rail), rather
than a traditional wood rail. This means the usual fluctuations
in wooden rails caused by weather changes are eliminated allowing
long lasting action regulation and stability.
